As the Drill Team Commander, I'd like to thank my cocommanders, instructors, and supporters who came out today and helped the team. While the final stats are not in, I can say that I was very impressed with the performance of our team today. At this time, C/LT Kristy Eighinger's unarmed squad is in 3rd place overall; C/CPT Elischa Charles' female colorguard is 4th overall; C/CSM Miguel Rodriguez's male colorguard is 8th overall; and no stats yet on C/LT Roman's unarmed platoon.

Hopefully our unarmed squad will maintain its standing in the top 3, making it the first time our Drill Team has placed in the top 3 in a competition of more than 3 teams (not including individual). I'm very proud of all of you, and thank you for your hard work.

This year the battalion will again be participating in the Town and Country Veterans' Day Parade. All cadets should be at the starting point at 8:30am, ready to go. The uniform will be the Class B; you may bring your black jacket depending on the weather. The starting point is near Morgan Woods Elementary, near the ball park. More specific information will be available Friday afternoon.

Our Raider Team will be competing out of state in Gerogia; best of luck!

First, the Raven Battalion would like to say goodbye to Captain Johanna Morales, the LET-3 Alpha Company Commander. After 2 1/2 years with our battalion, Johanna is moving south. She has done terrific work with the Drill Team, where she played a vital role in assisting the commanders in preparing for competitions as well as co-commanding the team herself. On behalf of myself and the battalion, we'll miss you!


Also, tonight is Halloween! Don't be stupid, have some fun but be safe! Hope to see you guys all Monday morning bright and early. Have a great weekend everyone!
