We hope you all had a great summer, and that those who attended summer camp had a great time there as well. As you all know, we are starting a new year, and that means an entirely new class of LET-1's!

Uniforms will be issued either at the end of the week of the 24th or the following week.
Drill Team practice starts Monday, August 24th.
Raider Team practice starts Tuesday, August 25th.

Hey everyone, hope you all have had a great summer, because it is quickly coming to a close. The school year begins this upcoming Monday, the 18th of August. Here are some important dates coming up in the next week or so.

Thursday, August 14: Open house! You can stop by and say hi, the instructors and several chain of command members will have a booth set up for cadets to purchase PT clothes and for other students to learn a bit about the JROTC program.

Monday, August 18: School starts! We'll start figuring out the companies and the accompanying chain of command once the final rosters are available.

I'll post further updates once the schedules come out!

Congratulations on another successful year in Alonso JROTC. Good luck to this year's graduating seniors in whatever they choose to do following high school. Thanks to all of this year's cadets for continuing our battalion's success in competition, inspections, and skill. In just 2 months, everyone will be moving up to a new LET Level with a brand new set of responsibilities and expectations. I know everyone can meet the standards, let alone surpass them, if everyone chooses to put their best effort into doing so.

For those of you who don't know already, next year is our second major inspection which is held every 4 years. Our battalion scored in the highest tier of ROTC programs when it earned the title of Honor Unit with Distinction 3 years ago and we expect to score even higher this upcoming year. However, our success is in the entire battalion's hands.
